In Round 16, Cortelyou exacts its revenge against WNP, which wrested away New York and Philadelphia in Round 15. In retaliation, Cortelyou takes the lead in Chicago with a bid of $20.251 million and retakes the lead in Philly with a bid of $18.583 million.

We stand without supporters: (ouch!)

I sometimes think that there are very few people who believe in LMDS. There has been much too much hype about Cable modems and the phone companies offering all kinds of high speed services. True they sometimes work in limited, highly selected test markets (without regards to economics) - But the fact that I live in one of the world's major cities (Brooklyn) and have only been able to get cable five years ago and have NEVER been able to get the phone companies (first AT&T, then NYNEX, now Bell Atlantic) to even install a second line in my apartment, leads me to suspect other motives behind all the recent hype about wired services (which are almost always politically granted monopolies).

Methinks they want to buy LMDS cheap, when they are able.
