I first came across the Deagel Report many years ago. It indicated a huge reduction in population for a lot of Western countries. I found it weird & unsettling. I kept a copy of it when I first saw it, and must have it somewhere on one of my old drives. No idea where it got it's numbers from. So I have no idea what the food situation will be in 2030. I did watch James Burke on "Connections", The Trigger Effect back in the day. I found it informative. Down at the shed where I spend some time, we have a plough that was pulled horses and other ancient farm equipment.
