Ashok

I bought 2000 shares of @Home yesterday at 36. Needless to say I am very upset with the 1 3/4 point drop today. Long term Cable Modems will have a big market. They have the assett already and require only marginal investment in capital equipment to provide the service. But like all businesses they need to be savvy ala DELL to capture the market and be profitable. I am in it long term. We shall see.

I was reading somewhere that 70% of households in the U.S. have cable.

There's a big difference between houses passed (with cable) and actual subscribers. Will @home succeed? Yes, indeed. This doesn't mean ADSL won't. However, if cable becomes a bigger threat, telcos will have to move faster. Everyone benefits.
