Trump Retaliates For Peace Prize Snub With Picture Of The Nobel Committee In Sombreros

U.S.·Oct 10, 2025 · BabylonBee.com

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Even one of the most revered institutions in the world found out that it was not immune to being trolled by the leader of the free world, as President Donald Trump retaliated for his peace prize snub with a picture of the Nobel Committee wearing sombreros.

According to inside sources, Trump decided to respond to the Nobel snub by using the same method that had worked so well last week against congressional Democrats in the wake of the government shutdown, posting a photoshopped image of the esteemed committee wearing traditional Mexican hats.

"When you snub someone so badly, you deserve to become a meme," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office after posting the image on his Truth Social account. "Look at the picture. All sombreros. We love the sombreros, don't we folks? Mexican hats. They've got those huge brims. I've heard they can fill the brims with tortilla chips, but I don't know if that's true. Maybe it is. Wonderful people, the Mexicans. Much better than the people on the Nobel Committee, believe me."

When asked about the post, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that the same fate could befall anyone else who defies the president. "Let this be an example to the rest of the world," she said. "President Trump will not sit idly by and be disrespected. Those who choose to disrespect his achievements will be subject to sombrero memes."

At publishing time, Turning Point USA had announced that it would be awarding an alternative Nobel Peace Prize to President Trump.
