Miraje, BTW, Intel would have crushed both AMD and Cyrix back then if it weren't for looming government anti trust threats.. Wow, you're still living in the past. Intel DID end up crushing AMD and Cyrix. Hardly anyone remembers Cyrix now. As for AMD, they would have gone the way of Cyrix if it weren't for two things: PC, laptop, and server OEMs wanted a viable second source of x86 parts. ("Parts is parts." - Elmer Phud) AMD relied on a certain "DEI hire" from MIT and Bronx Science. She single-handedly rescued AMD and put it at the top of the x86 mountain. By the way, I bet you're pissed off that said "DEI hire" turned out to be much, much more competent than all the white men that preceded her, including W. Jeremiah Sanders. Tenchusatsu
