my first decent car was a 1959 TR3, paid $650.00, I had to fix basically everything but it was a fun car to drive and the girls liked it. A friend had a new Triumph 650 Trophy that was pretty fast for the day

It's not just the UK. It's is in the public record and beyond dispute really. I think your about the only guy, along with maybe a few loonies on the FAAMG, who would indicate otherwise.

I used to drive Saab 99's back in the day. Good cars for bad weather in Scotland, and we used to have that in the 1980's. The model 99 had a Triumph engine in it, mounted back to front, and the car had front wheel drive.
