So this is more interesting than I thought, as they claim this is something new, not a repeat blurb about the $10B AI chip customer that spiked AVGO after their last report:

tomshardware.com

Interestingly, OpenAI is not believed to be Broadcom’s still-unknown $10 billion customer. Speaking with CNBC, Broadcom semiconductor president Charlie Kawwas appeared alongside OpenAI’s Greg Brockman and joked, “I would love to take a $10 billion [purchase order] from my good friend Greg,” he said, adding, “He has not given me that PO yet.” WSJ reports that the deal is worth "multiple billions of dollars."

The prior reports had claimed OpenAI was the likely customer, although it was never confirmed by Broadcom. IIRC, Broadcomm had claimed this $10B was a fourth customer and they already are thought to have Meta, Google, and MS IIRC. So who else would be placing $10B AI chip orders??

BTW, the OpenAI deployment with their inhouse designs will start at the same time as their AMD MI450 deployments, 2H26. So they must have silicon by about now.
