NEW YORK, Feb 25 (Reuters) - Jefferies & Co Inc said on
Thursday it started coverage on shares of GST
Telecommunications Inc (AMEX:GST) and McLeodUSA (NASDAQ:MCLD) with a
buy rating and NEXTLINK Communications Inc (NASDAQ:NXLK) as hold.
-- Analyst John Bauer said 14 of GST's planned switches are
operational and the remaining six are slated to be turned up in
the first quarter.
-- "With the majority of switches now operational and the
balance slated to be up and running in the first quarter of
this year, GST is finally poised to make the transition from
construction company to full-time telecommunications provider,"
Bauer said. Stock up 1/2 to 13-7/8.
-- Sets $49 target price on McLeod.
-- Bauer said McLeod has proven business plan as well as
plans for new services, and is led by proven management team.
Stock gains 2-3/16 to 33-11/16.
-- NEXTLINK shares already trade at rich valuation. Stock
up 1-3/16 to 27-1/8.

I'm going ahead and throwing in the towel on WCII and put it all in TGNT. In a year or two it will be worth est. $1000.00/share and only have $100/year rev. Ah!

If I'm not mistaken...I think that Forbes had an article about Teligent in their recent issue stating it as potential buyout target.
