Hey Mannie,

I don't know the fella, but I know just about every street and scene that was shown in the video, and the long ascent up to the tunnel through Mule Mountain pass. Drove that stretch of highway many a time. The house I used to rent for several winters was just a short walk up a canyon off Tombstone Canyon Road which is where the Jonquil Motel is located. So, yes, brings back plenty of memories. I still miss my home in the southwest. :)

Neat looking bike!

All is fine here. We had a pretty major forest fire in this area that burned for a few weeks. Wasn't super close to my place, but close enough to be of concern to everyone in the area. Our summers are getting to be too hot and dry -- which is a pretty weird thing to be saying for someone living so close to the ocean. Pups are fine. I got myself some new "wheels" this summer -- a little 500W scooter - the kind with a bicycle seat and 14 inch wheels for exploring on logging roads. I did get an e-bike last year, but found it a bit large to load in and out of my Kia - I can do it, but it's a bit hard compared to the scooter -- and also I can put my feet down to help balance when I'm navigating along a windy trail. I'm finding my balance is not as good as it used to be, so being able to put a foot on the ground when necessary is a good thing!

take care,
croc
