Alex,

I am sure you would wish that--acquisition of ATI--as a share holder pf WCOM. But that doesn't necessarily mean it would happen.

Good luck,

Some facts re. WCOM, ATI, NXTL

1. Market Cap: WCOM 33.7 billion, ATI 22.4 billion, NXTL 7 billion

2. Price/Sales: NXTL 12.4, ATI 6.2, WCOM 5.1

3. PE: NXTL (ouch!), WCOM 102.4, ATI 56.9

4. Apparently, CEO stated "profitable wireless company" which is harder to say than "wireless company". If he did not mean profitable, he would have simply said "wireless company".

Conclusions:

1. ATI is much more expensive by market cap, but much cheaper by Price/sales.

2. ATI purchase would likely lower WCOMS PE, NEXTL would definitely raise it.

3. For all of the above, it is likely that WCOM would prefer to go after ATI. Whether they can afford it remains to be seen.

4. I would also add that Globalstar (satellite capability), and international holdings make ATI more attractive.

We'll see.. Regards, Dave

Major Telecom Development: biz.yahoo.com

The only missing piece of the puzzle is an international wireless carrier....

If ATI hooked up with these guys, they would not need to bid independently for properties in Brazil......
