Yep

A really good video explaining how CO2 retains thermal energy and thus slowing IR release to space retaining more heat in the atmosphere and re-reflecting down to the surface of the Earth.

Other gasses such as oxygen and nitrogen are transparent to IR and thus are not greenhouse gasses.

If you did the experiment with those gasses nothing would change to the candles flame.
