Respond to of 6450  Here is a different view about whether Ukraine will get Tomahawks. from quora: Elena Gold Media analyst Tue Is the Trump administration really going to supply Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine?Yes, the Trump administration is really going to supply Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine. If Putin thinks that Trump is bluffing, he’s terribly wrong.Mobile units for launching Tomahawk missiles. According to former Pentagon official Mark Cancian, the US currently has 4,150 Tomahawk cruise missiles. The moods among the NATO allies are getting more resolute. And the war between Russia and NATO will be nothing like the beginning of the Russia-Ukraine war, says former commander of the US forces in Europe Ben Hodges. “If Russia in 2025 attacked Poland in the same way as it attacked Ukraine, it would be destroyed by NATO air forces and ground forces,” says Hodges. Military facilities in the Kaliningrad region and occupied Crimea would be destroyed within a few hours, the general says. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte concurs: “As NATO, we are 25 times bigger than the Russian economy. Our military is infinitely superior to the Russian military.” ”Russia's military is stretched there and elsewhere. Its Mediterranean task force was once a mix of surface ships, submarines and support vessels. Now, in effect, there is hardly any Russian naval presence in the Mediterranean left. “There is a lone and broken Russian submarine limping home from patrol. What a change from the 1984 Tom Clancy novel The Hunt for Red October. Today, it seems more like The Hunt for the Nearest Mechanic.” In fact, Trump needs to supply Tomahawks to Ukraine not just to help Ukraine — but to help the USA. Ukraine developed its own cheap Flamingo cruise missile, which is a competitor to much more expensive Tomahawks. If Ukraine accumulates enough of its own missiles and begins successfully using them in deep strikes on Russia, the European cruise missile market could be lost for the USA. On top of that, the Ukrainians would claim victory without material participation of the U.S., which is not a good look for Trump, who wants to claim every victory. This last reason is the most important, because for Trump, everything is personal and everything is about how it makes him look. Putin should get ready for a speedy delivery of Tomahawks to Ukraine. Trump feels exhilarated after his success with “ending the war in the Middle East.” He wants another victory. He wants “to end” another war. Tomahawks are coming.
