Canada has proven it can no longer manage its own affairs credibly, politically, economically, or strategically. It’s time to stop pretending. The smart move is to sit down with Trump and negotiate a better deal for Canadians. A straight $1 CDN = $1 USD swap would instantly strengthen household balance sheets, slash the real burden of debt, and give this country a lifeline of fiscal discipline and opportunity. The benefits would far outweigh any downside, especially for hardworking Canadians buried in inflation and mismanagement.
