A google search of hyperscalers brings up Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud. Those are just 3. Oracle and Meta also have massive storage facilities. My MAGS ETF covers those and more. Here's from the search-Massive infrastructure: Hyperscalers build and maintain a large network of data centers with thousands of servers, storage systems, and networking equipment. Scalability: Their infrastructure is designed to dynamically scale resources up or down to meet fluctuating demands, a concept known as "hyperscale computing". Global presence: They operate data centers across many regions worldwide, providing low-latency access to services for a global user base. Broad service offerings: They offer a wide range of services, including infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS). Support for modern workloads: They provide the necessary infrastructure for modern applications and are crucial for supporting large-scale AI and machine learning workloads.>> Here's the top ten hyperscalers..https://datacentremagazine.com/articles/top-10-hyperscalers When I started using the internet back in the 1890s :>) it was, as we all know, text based. Not much storage for that. Next came photos. Nowadays full blown videos and the required storage is greater by orders of magnitude. Imagine if Schwab or Fidelity or any number of other real time websites had outages on a regular basis. Goodbye! I try, and often fail, not to tout stocks but I've mentioned several including APLD and PTSG that I currently own.. Any google or other search engine can come up with long lists of data storage companies or companies that provide servers or other infrastructure for storage facilities. I believe Bezos was the first to recognize that storage/retrieval would be a growing business for decades. I'm up here in Seattle(go Mariners/Seahawks/Huskies et al) and Amazon has really surpassed Microsoft in many ways including their first to market hyperscaler AWS. PS. the reason I own APLD is they are strategically positioned geographically in North Dakota at a power grid crossroads which reduces cost and the cold weather dramatically reduces cooling costs for much of the year. They already have around 400 megawatts of capacity have an active construction pipeline that exceeds 4 gigawatts. Those numbers are beyond my perspective ability but the growth and the strategic positioning drew me in. On top of that I listened to an almost 2 hour interview with Wes Cummins the CEO and was impressed. The company began a decade ago as a bitcoin mining company and that required computer power which morphed into data storage. Happening with a number of bitcoin miners now.
