Your taste palette may be a bit more refined? Even local beef is graded very differently than most would understand. Most protein is flavorless but add some fat to it and taste goes up considerably. Most of the flavor of our dietary protein has been engineered out for a leaner, “healthier” protein.

The most delicious beef I've ever tasted was in Spain.

The beef from Japan and Korea is also very delicious, but they don't taste "beefy" enough to me.

The North American beef will taste bland once you get used to better beef.
