Wait, the only way what you claim is true would be if the Old Testament wasn't written until after Jesus died. I say this because the article Wharfie linked to bases the criteria on the Old Testament.
So you have some 'splaining to do.

Now true, early Christians made up a lot of stuff to make Jesus' origin story at least roughly fit the criteria for the Messiah and his divinity. In some cases, even borrowing from other religions and adding decorations like the 3 wise men and the star of Bethlehem, just to name two.

The job description didn't change. Jesus' resume got padded instead.
