Indonesian BBQ? An old Thai girlfriend had an interesting experience with this and only learned the story when we met some of her high school girlfriends. Laughing and going in and out of their dialect to proper Thai I mostly understood then interjecting, ok, please include me in on this joke. Her eyes got big saying no, no, no, and her girlfriends started giggling more! Turns out one of the girls cousins also in their same class, made a senior year BBQ party for some of the classmates and the secret ingredient was dog meat. He didn't tell at first but always had a goofy grin on his face and made awkward comments like, "enjoy the meat"! Apparently his demeanor gave it away and he confessed but my girlfriend didn't get the memo and was so hungry she went back for seconds! That was the joke she was embarrassed about. :-)
