We are already In a great depression,it is just being papered over by fiat money and we were economically better off at the start than we were in 1929. Last time around the head, Great Britain did better than the tail ,the United States. This time around, I suspect the head the ,United States ,may do worse than the tail, the developing world and China. The US reserve currency status has kept interest rates in the developing world high and the GDP of places such as Brazil is real unlike that of the United States. It appears also that London is losing the ability to manipulate and hold down commodity prices. My bets are on gold and the developing world
