The real vision was in the iPod. Then, iPhone and you know that. Then, the iPad. He died, and it ended. (Well, the watch, which was a no-brainer). They have NEVER gotten the Apple computer right, yet they have sold the hell out of them on the strength of the brand. They have not innovated in any meaningful way since Jobs' death.

There has been zero innovation since. I still use iPhone 11. My wife has a 16 and she wants to trade with me.

They sell the same product, year after year. And hope a third competitor doesn't go there. Even Musk has made it plain, when asked would he consider making an iPhone replacement (paraphrasing): "I could if there were a need, but I don't see a really apparent need for another competitor there." (Of course, he has since gone on to add satellite functionality to add compatibility where there are no hardlines).

What entrepreneur-types can you think of that would replace the skill of Musk? (Keeping in mind there has not been a successful automobile startup in the US in your lifetime before Tesla? Longer, actually -- I think it is approaching 100 years, probably. It is an insanely difficult task.
