Who would've thunk HG would have been able to do a $2.90 raise?! Yea it isn't closed but don't doubt for a minute it won't get done. Just too much to get into. I think there are a lot better risk / rewards where shorting is concerned.

Very tough place to be has been the MC sector. Sure there have been winners and congratulations to holders of PNG, URL, GSI. VHI has been a dog for 2.5 months. E should probably bottomed here - after all it is Q4. CNO - forget about it - I've been out for a long time. BLM - out. One I really like is McCoy. I was adding a lot in the $3.35 to $3.50 range.

They've beaten their peer group (like E) by 42% the past year or YTD, not sure which. Big near term catalyst potential w/ tenders in for the UAE CRT tender (see MD&As re: Mid east National oil companies). Details are the UAE ("ADNOC") tendering 83 casing running tube systems each worth $750,000 USD if MCB wins one.

They say they have the technology and they are pretty confident they will win a good number. How much, who knows but there are only a limited no. of companies that offer the hydraulic systems that are a mandatory requirement. No legacy mechanical systems wanted. Assume 40% margins. If they could win 1/3 or more it'll be a transformational year. I'm betting on a transformational year for MCB next year.

Plus they are in the "first inning" in rolling out their technology offering. Plus they pay that .10 per year divvy and have bought back ball park 500k shares in the past year or so.

What could go wrong - well at least this isn't Mexican open pit regulations we're waiting for! Speaking of MAI - Doug Ramshaw resigned today. Otto hates the replacement who he said was a disaster in Mexico before (according to Mark anyway) so WTF. I ended up capitulating before the bounce into the $.40s and if it didn't fall below .40 today on the news.
