Thank you for that. You have more insight into the Hindu community than I do, which dates back a couple of decades. It doesn't surprise me about his popularity with at least some Hindus. While certainly not all or even most, I have had experiences with ones who are deeply immersed in a strict, hierarchal society. Which Trump is very much an embodiment of.

When I graduated with my first degree, I got a job in a neurophysiology lab as a labtech because I have microcomputer skills when it wasn't really that common. Anyway, one of the grad students, who didn't have a dot but probably should have as it turned out, motioned for me to follow him to his office. He pointed at his desk and told me to move it to another office. No "could you help me with this?", which might have worked if that the lead instead of indicating I was to follow, just an order.

I refused. I pointed out to him that, in the hierarchy of a lab, grad students don't rank. Now if my supervisor had told me to help him, I would. Or if he had even asked. But being ordered raised my hackles.
