Just noticed this thread last night. For those people trying to find out information about
L3 --- a 3 for 1 split was declared by the board of L3 on 2/24/98. This is on top of
the 5 for 1 declared 12/26/98.I am not sure when the payable date or holder's of
record date is but it will be within the next month or so. Also heard that there will be no
IPO but that L3 will just list the stock. For information on the company you can find all
the SEC filings in EDGAR. The Class D stock will become L3 once the Auditors issue
their report for 1997. You should also note that they disposed of California Energy
Holdings, receiving approximately 1.1 billion in Cash. The Company has cash & short
term investments in excess of 3 billion to fund their planned expansion plans.
I think this stock still has alot of potential with the question being how high.
Hope this helps those people not being in Omaha --- home of the Omaha Oracle who
happens to have his offices in the Kiewit Building.
