Even without the missing data, ChatGPT is terrible at stock picking and fundamental analysis. Or rather it is terrible on its own. If you know what you are doing and you teach it how to price an equity (not TA), then with careful prompt engineering it will give you something reasonable. But even then it will need a lot of handholding and validation. I have designed an AI specifically for trading and valuation. But I have not implemented or trained it. I know enough in both quantitative trading and AI that I think it has a chance to out match most competition. But it just hasn't been worth it for me to drop everything else and delve into it deeply. ... Some day.
