" the only way "the R's" could pass the clean resolution in question, which continues funding the government, would be to end the Senate's ability to filibuster legislation"

Yep; the ball is in their court.

First it was Pence, now Johnson is a wimp and a traitor, stabbing trump in the back*

*Fortunately Trump is so fat, the 10 inches of fat on his back is the only thing that got stabbed.

"Mike Johnson pours cold water on Trump’s third term, saying there is ‘no path’ despite president’s flirtation"

Miraje,
In the meantime, it's Schumer's filibuster that's holding up the funds and the longer they drag it on, the worse it will be for the Dems.
Keep telling yourself that, Miraje.

Most people blame the GOP for the shutdown:

Republicans grapple with shutdown – and why more are blaming the GOP (The Hill)

It should be obvious why. Republicans are trying to establish one-party rule. Democrats are powerless to do anything about it.

If the Republicans wanted to end the shutdown, they could, either by giving seven Democrat senators offers they can't refuse, or by going n00klear.
