Israel followed up the "incident", for which there are no known reported casualties, with artillery strikes and aerial bombings. Either there are stragglers who are isolated in the tunnel or the "incident" was staged for Israel's benefit. There were such incidents during the war on Syria where the newly trained and equipped "moderate" rebels engaged ISIS in fake firefights without any casualties incurred on either side, conveniently resupplying ISIS after all was said and done.
