“Even if you’re not Catholic, any true Christian…” What does that mean? Are you suggesting only Catholics qualify as true Christians? Quoting the Pope doesn’t make your interpretation universal, it makes it Catholic. Christ didn’t found denominations, men did. And spare us the sanctimony about who understands Jesus. I’ve met more genuine compassion from people who never once quoted Scripture than from those who wield it like a weapon. Before you warn others about repentance, you might look into your habit of judging who’s “true” and who isn’t.
