"I agree that AGW isn't gonna wipe out the species, but it might kill a few billion by the end of the century."

Forgive my confusion, I thought fewer humans was supposed to be good for the planet.

Have the rules changed, or does it depend on the method of reduction?

Ah, I get it, so the tragedy is not that billions might die, but that they’d do so without your permission...

It's a shame Gates never took physics in school.

It would have given him a much better understanding of what is actually happening with AGW.

Wharfie, I'm actually on Bill Gates' side here, and I believe the media is exaggerating what he said just to satisfy the Algorithms.

He's saying that thanks to Trump and his efforts to destabilize the so-called "rules-based world order," we will have much more pressing issues to deal with than climate change.

And this isn't just a Trump thing. Other world leaders around the world, including Starmer, Modi, and Xi, are also working towards geopolitical destabilization.

Moreover, I believe Mr. Gates when he says that he isn't reversing his stance on climate change. He's just trying to put some perspective on where human civilization is at the moment and where it is headed.
