The shutdown isn't effecting my life, leave it shut down for all I care. The nearby military base has large areas of land they allow hunting and fishing on, managed by a third party reservation system run at a profit. The system is closed during the shutdown - so I killed a 4x4 blacktail on my property instead. Eating the newly made jerky - shutdown not effecting me either,

Our government provides assistance for millions of poor and hungry people. That's what Jesus taught us to do. Just because you're all set doesn't mean anything to Jesus. He can see right into your selfish heart.

Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the citizens, taking care that none of the food was mistakenly given to non-citizens. 20 After all the non-citizens had departed, the citizens all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. 21. Jesus instructed them to make sure none of that leftover food was given to non-citizens. 22 The number of citizens who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children. 23 Jesus neither knew nor cared about how many non-citizens went hungry.
