I looked at my favorite astro indicators, which in general is often about like a coin flip.

Two dates coming up, ~ 11/7 and ~ 11/20, possible turn dates.

Not sure if I understand your question, but mostly I use daily charts and half day charts. Occasionally I use Kagi charts which are Japanese version of PnF and have no time.

I don't actually have a preset cycle. It is all continuous. But I typically need about 50 - 150 data points to analyze and make a decision. If I need more data (and often I do), I use a multi-timeframe framework (e.g. I may mix 50 daily data with 30 weekly data).
