Since you asked... My wife and I have done many decades of volunteer work in our community, mostly focusing on homeless and hungry people. We sold a business about 10 years ago and used some of the proceeds from the sale to set up a Donor Directed Charitable Fund which now generates about $20K/year in charitable contributions toward those efforts. The fund continues to grow, and our community continues to benefit from it.
