Re:[ Is someone here holding it and is it for you still the same high quality holding as it was over the years - any thought about the possible influence of AI for their business model ? ]

I've been holding ADP in my taxable account since 2023. It’s up about 19%, so no complaints there.

The stock has been sliding since July and took a steeper dive last week. I’ll wait to see where it stabilizes before adding more. For now, I’m holding.

As for AI, I think it will come down to how quickly ADP can integrate it to improve efficiency and client value. We'll see how that goes.

Here’s a chart showing the recent drop. The price is below the 10-day EMA (blue), 20-day EMA (white), 50-day EMA (red) and 200-day SMA (gold). Ideally, you would like to see upward momentum re-establish where 10 > 20 > 50 > 200 before adding.

Still a fine company, and at a better valuation than we've seen for a while. We sold out of the Roth last year at $290 and out of the taxable account at $312. Market and most of our investments are up since then, while ADP is down. At that 15% correction (not to mention gains on the money in the interim) we've cleared more than enough to pay the tax bill.

Thinking of buying back in. I've been shedding weaker quality companies to buy strong businesses even at higher valuations. ADP is a strong business at a moderate valuation here, just need to figure out how it fits in with the rest. I'll probably add it back next week, in size.

I added to ADP just this past week in the Retirement Portfolio. I don't know if AI is going to disrupt their business to where they won't be worth investing in. I guess time will tell.
