Heywood,
While that all may be true about those soybean farmers, who eats soybeans anyway?
(Tenchu raises his hand.)

Some of my favorite Korean dishes include tofu.

You know what's funny? The acolytes of the so-called "manosphere" likes to make fun of "soy boys," i.e. "girly men," or men who lack "real masculinity." They're convinced that eating red meat increases testosterone, while eating and/or drinking soy turns a man into a woman.

Soy boy (Wikipedia)

The reality is that soy is a great source of protein. Yes, it's not as potent of a source as animal sources like dairy or meat, but said animal sources usually come with a good amount of carbs and/or fat. For someone who's trying to balance his macronutrients (protein, fat, carbs), soy can help boost the protein without boosting the other two.
