Muskrat still hasn't figured it out. Besides the fact that the micro payment model has the m.p./subscription ratio wrong. it's that subscriptions to newspapers and Substacks are also motivated by a desire to support them and what they're saying. You don't get that by paying 10 cents. And the publication, after paying the up to 30% cut, doesn't get any meaningful revenue unless the views of that story are in exceptionally high numbers. Not viable.
