the statistic as presented is fundamentally worthless in and of itself. however, after making appropriate adjustments for population growth and a few other factors not worth mentioning here, it would be interesting to know what that death rate was earlier. say 25-50-75- and 100 years ago just to get a good historic comparison! but while meaningless, it is a good catch phrase to promote a specific agenda. congratulations.
