Well, let's see; in '74, I sold the $5000 in bonds my grandmother had given me, and bought a house, which let me pay cash for this place in '86, so 39 years without a mortgage. While living in that first house, I began buying silver dollars. Started buying 30 year Zeros, paying like 16% interest, for my IRA in '80 or '81. Had a 401 K at my last job. Started buying gold and silver again in '02. Worked a lot of OT in my last 2 years. Put in solar in '06, so pretty much free electricity for 18 years.
