believe we'll have a landslide win

You're more optimistic than me. I'll be pleasantly surprised if the election next year is fair, but even if it is, like I said, we won't be veto-proof.

all for American manufacturing

The stuff we do well, I'm all for; it's much more efficient if done here than shipped thousands of miles. But only if it's more efficient - not everything. And if US companies are willing. For example, a lot of folks want to buy a sedan, preferably an EV. It's not easy to buy a BYD in the US. And US automakers push enormous SUVs and pickup trucks with price tags pushing and exceeding 6 figures hardly anybody needs, but the marketing is relentless.

greatest investment should be in making things better

A New Deal for the 21st century requires a lot of time and political will. I can't see it happening.

In short his plan will not work.

Because it is economically fatally flawed e.g. his tariffs are destroying our economy from within and without , and lowering the fed funds rate to give short term relief to the bond market, but fuel inflation, and desire to spend like a drunken sailor which will cause more huge deficits, and require the fed to print money, and he will pay no attention to the debt.

All of which will result in serious stagflation, and a failed economy with massive job loses, and god only knows how high the inflation will go as the dollar collapses and we struggle to manage our huge debt.

Next year we get a blue wave like in 1932, but with a much damaged country!
