Will data centers be empty due to lack of electricity to power them? Will that be the excess dark fiber of 2000, it took years to utilize and light up?
Ha! I still remember having to take losses on Global Crossing and JDSU :)

There are many uncertainties about the markets - and everything else. One thing, I think, is different - if AI is a bubble - it’s more of the kind that Amazon used to be, rather than Pet.com. There is real utility in AI - especially once it becomes more productive in manufacturing and industrial uses.

This goes along with another mega trend - decrease in fertility in most of the world. There will be need for increased efficiencies - and cyber “workers”. Right now, S.Korea is still number 1 in the numbers of installed industrial robots per 10K human employees. China is installing more of these things than the rest of the world combined - they’ve moved on to fully automatic production lines. The rest of the world will catch up.

The future will be - most likely - healthy, wealthy and interesting. And for as long as our government is allowed to create and to drop into the economy a trillion or two annually - the markets should be able to do well.
