A great night for America. It seems like the people have finally figured Trump and the Republicans out, especially the kids, male Latinos, Independents, and farmer types. The MAGA true believers, not so much :( But I am not surprised, I felt like this situation is almost exactly like the Gilded Age in 1932, when FDR and the Democrats won in a huge blue wave because the Republicans and Hoover while helping the rich, felt it best to let the depression run on to "get rid of the dead wood". Same mentality now with Republicans willing to starve 40 million people with the refrain:" let them get a job", and knock millions off health care with their big ugly bill. And Trump's Great Gatsby party, just as the SNAP program was being defunded was obscene, and a book I am sure he never read, Talk about tone deaf, but probably because he has gotten away with so much, he feels he can just piss on the people and they won't care!! And I expect the same blue wave next year as the economy stumbles, and the poor get poorer and the rich, richer, if Trump hasn't killed us all by then with one war, or another e.g. poking Russian and China with his invasion ideas for Venezuela. Leonard Cohen said" I wish the women would hurry up and take over--me too, and they sure showed up yesterday :)!
