Instead of pushing the Senate GOP to end the filibuster, which I think would be a terrible mistake, Trump should support them holding firm for a clean CR, and send a clear message to the American public about what's at stake. Folding your hand when you hold the aces is beyond stupid, something that the GOP has been historically prone to do.

As for the next election, if Trump doesn't quit fiddly fucking around with his constantly changing tariff games and get inflation under control, he'll be looking at Lame Duck City for the remainder of his term.

Trump and the GOP hold the cards, and if they throw them away, the country loses the game..
