Tenchu's Thoughts - The Situation in Pokrovsk, A Town No One Ever Heard Of

The Situation

After almost a year and a half of incremental advances, at high costs, RuZZians have finally entered the city of Pokrovsk, thanks to endless small groups of infantry infiltrating past Ukrainian drones and spotters.

Fierce battles are going on, but RuZZia feels more and more emboldened to send in reinforcements, even though any time they mass a large assault, it gets spotted and blown to bits by Ukrainian FPV drones.

What the RuZZians are Claiming

RuZZia, of course, has already claimed full operational encirclement of the small city. It's really hard to know for sure, though, since RuZZian commanders are incentivized to deliver false reports of victory to their superiors.

What the Ukrainians are Claiming

Ukraine acknowledges that the situation remains difficult, but they are fighting fiercely to keep the town from falling into RuZZian hands. It looks like a losing battle, and Ukraine might be better off giving up the town completely and moving back to the next line of fortification.

However, Ukraine has also claimed a handful of local victories in the area, including the recent clearing of City Hall:

What's really interesting is that Zelensky himself admitted that Ukraine is outnumbered 8-to-1 in the area. RuZZians have amassed a sizable force of 170,000 troops in the area. They've even pulled troops away from other parts of the front in order to go all-in on the town.

Yet Ukraine chooses to remain there instead of begin a tactical withdrawal. Why?

The RuZZian Strategy

RuZZian commanders were told to take Pokrovsk at all cost, and their tactics reflect that order. They have continually sent wave after wave of heavy assaults until that proved to be futile. Then they switched to the tactic of small groups of infantry trying to sneak past drones under the cover of darkness, but they never were able to follow up any successful infiltration. Until now.

But despite what the Z-trolls and the PooTin cucks claim, Pokrovsk no longer serves as a key logistical hub for the Ukrainian defense. Ukraine obviously has built new supply hubs, new supply roads, and new defensive fortifications behind Pokrovsk, Ukraine could leave at any time and not cause the front line to deteriorate in any way, shape, or form.

Instead, Pokrovsk only serves as a political goal, to brag to the world that RuZZia is unstoppable, and that they have limitless resources. This, of course, is a lie, but when it comes to propaganda, the truth is but one of several tools available.

This fits into PooTin's overall goal of demoralizing the West and politically destabilizing Ukraine to the point where Zelensky's government will collapse and RuZZia can finally walk into Kyiv, aLl aCcOrDiNg tO pLaN.

That's why, when Ukraine finally gives up Pokrovsk, you'll see the Z-trolls and the PooTin cucks collective taunt everyone with their usual "neener neener" posts. Propaganda remains RuZZia's most effective weapon, and PooTin can always rely on the Z-troll network to advance his goals online.

The Ukrainian Strategy

Ukraine's overall goal, of course, is to attrit the RuZZian juggernaut and make them pay the maximum penalty for every square kilometer that they take. That has been their goal from day one, and it seems to be working, even though it seems to be a completely insane strategy given RuZZia's size and PooTin's complete and utter obsession.

To this end, RuZZia's "take land at all cost" strategy would play very well into Ukraine's hands, as Ukraine can exploit the defender's advantage and set up defenses like mines, ditches, trenches, and drone stations right in the areas where they know RuZZia will advance. And it's obvious from the thousands of failed frontal assaults that RuZZia doesn't give a shit about how many men, how many tanks, and how many resources they lose. As long as they gain even a centimeter, they think it's all worth it.

Ukraine knows that they can't take back land using conventional military means, as RuZZian defenses are just way too strong. So it wouldn't be smart for Ukraine to try and move forward to cause RuZZian losses that way, as they lose the defender's advantage that way.

Of course, Ukraine doesn't have to move forward. RuZZia will come to them.

That's why, despite an 8:1 disadvantage, Ukraine chooses to continue defending Pokrovsk. If the brave defenders there can each sustain a sizable kill ratio (sometimes reported to be 20:1), then their sacrifices won't be in vain despite them likely meeting a violent or tragic end. (I don't think Ukraine will abandon all of them, though. When the time is right, Ukraine will order the withdrawal, and the remaining defenders will be evacuated to the best of Ukraine's ability.)

Conclusion

Ukraine isn't stupid. They wouldn't remain in Pokrovsk despite the huge disadvantage unless they think it is worth it.

On the other hand, RuZZians ARE stupid. Even if they finally take Pokrovsk, it won't be without a HUGE ton of RuZZian dead bodies, blown up tanks and armored vehicles, and missed opportunities across the rest of the front. For example, I guarantee that Ukrainian defenders in Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Lyman, and Kherson are enjoying a break in the action and are taking the opportunity to rotate in fresh new troops.

All because RuZZia decided that Pokrovsk, a city that no one has ever heard of until last year, was going to be their ultimate prize. Just like Kyiv was. Just like Mariupol was. Just like Bakhmut and Avdiivka were.

It's a long war, and Ukraine will fight it down to the last man.

Will RuZZia? I doubt it. PooTin still has to pay people to go to Ukraine, and he has to continue sneaking in outsiders like North Koreans and duped Chinese and Indian "volunteers." Heck, he's even trying to fool Cubans into fighting his three-day war of choice.

One More Thing

If you run across a PooTin cuck projecting accusing Ukraine of everything RuZZia is doing, such as throwing men into a death trap, or making premature claims of victory, or sacrificing soldiers just so their leaders can get rich, remember that the cuck is only doing what he programmed to do.

Not every Z-bot run on transistors.

"IF" POS Trump had a timeline to disrupt/stop next year's election he will move it up. By year end he will be pumping out posts on how the last election was rigged and he has the power to do (whatever). Probably send troops to monitor, i.e. intimidate, voters. He will double/triple down on his push for total control.
