"Republicans will vote for the 16th time today to open the government" is inaccurate; rather, a House-passed funding bill has been rejected by Senate Democrats 14 times so far. Republicans are not repeatedly voting to open the government today, but are attempting to pass the existing House-approved bill, which Democrats are blocking due to the lack of a healthcare provision.
