Rhet,

No, I am using a Mac now, obviously, and even on the internet, the browsers don't work the way they should and the way they do on PCs. I can't get certain streaming data. I am still hoping that I will find some site in which I can, on the Mac.

Virtual PC, which I'm running on my 3400c/240 under 120MB RAM is definitely nowhere fast enough. When dealing with day trading you need as fast as you can get. I agree connection speed is important, but the processor speed is, too. I really need someone who knows about this.

In the days when Apple had more clout I think the sites would have cared more about satisfying me, running a Mac, and would have made their software work for me (and my ilk). I'm not sure there's NO site I can use effectively, but I am sure that there are plenty of sites which I could use effectively on a PC. So I need the fastest Mac with the fastest card in case I have to switch to PC to do this -- unless I can verify I can do it on a Mac alone.

When these sites use proprietary software so far I've only found it for a PC, nothing viable for a Mac. When they use browsers, so far I haven't gotten it working on a Mac using current IE and Netscape browsers.
