One of the days, we'll be getting all the jobs, GDP, and inflation data for Sept and Oct. I don't think they will paint a pretty picture.

In the business I was in for most of my working life, layoffs always meant a slowdown after a busy time. I was laid off myself in my early twenties but hired back when things picked up. Once I was considered a core member of the company I was never laid off again. We were a small company less than 100 employee's in a specialized field. The core could always train new people like how I had been trained. A lot of talented immigrants worked in my company without them the company would never have lasted long.
