Wharfie, after last Tuesday's election, and after the Democrats caved on the shutdown, I am convinced that socialism is in our near future. Remember that socialism always requires a level of authoritarianism. Trump has already paved the way for authoritarians to take control over government, unrestrained by the checks and balances that our Constitution outlined. Ends justify the means. Bold action trumps bipartisanship and compromise. However, unlike the dumbass Trump and his coterie of narcissistic showmen, the Democrat socialists will likely demonstrate more competence in their execution. And the GOP, who has already given up the "idealistic high ground" of free markets and economic stewardship, will be powerless to say anything about it. Tenchusatsu
