Yes, most people don't buy Apple product for a run-of-the-mill experience. In that case, less fashionable Android product it cheaper. This is likely the same issue with the Samsung Edge.

In both cases, one can save 30% and get as much functionality by accepting a little extra weight.

This was engineers take with these smallish battery phones.

As of today, C2 is a complete unknown.

The use of C1 in iPhone Air was more because it was a low volume phone, giving more breathing air for Apple modem, not because of it was superior of anything.

So, i doubt, iPhone Air failure has anything to do with C1 and vice versa.
