I don't know much more. We keep moving away from city limits and are now at the border of civilization and farmland for the last 10+ years.

Because of that we see the tall corn everywhere along the roads one year, then the low growing soybean the next.

Most years they let the corn just dry up with the husks and harvest it in the fall. Don't know if that is used for feed or ethanol or maybe popcorn, but it's too dried up for sweet corn

And now you know everything that I know about Midwest farming.
