charred, KRY doesn't need to get the drill data from Placer, if they don't already have it, they can get it from MEM. There will be no need to re-drill and no two year delay.

If you know I am long on KRY, then you know "selling short" KRY would simply mean selling 10-15% of my long position. You see, here's a little lesson. When you short, you are selling shares you do not have. I already have shares. So my broker would give me a fairly befuddled look if I said I want to short KRY . . . because I ALREADY HAVE shares of KRY to sell. His response would be "what the hell are you smoking?" You could purchase put options on KRY to provide some minor protection but options on KRY do not exist. No offense, but that sure does reveal that you have zero investing sophistication whatsoever which, given your KRY arguments anyway, is apparent.
