Back in the day I had to work 1/2 a day on Christmas Eve to get paid for a full day, of course no one worked. There were no Bosses to be seen, guys brought booze and got pissed, I couldn't drink booze out of a bottle like the old timers so I filled a canteen with premade Harvey wallbangers, a drink popular then. last time I ever drank that crap and I threw the canteen away. We have Stat holidays now mandated by the Government. A company with a good holiday policy will have a better chance to keep employee's long term
