"I Robot" flashed in my head, along with the chills.

Starting to wonder about how much science fiction drives society. I also think Elon is being slightly disingenuous because he is likely more intently focused on delivering robot workers to Mars and needs a practical excuse to develop them in the meantime.

This idea of developing fusion power with fuel target pellets comprised partially of He3 seems to have legs. There is all kinds of information on the interwebs about using the moon as a source for this fuel. That would be another step for Elon to realize his Mars dream.

And it all started back in the 1940's with the musings of Isaac Asimov.

We used to blast this out of our 11th floor dorm rooms, er, igloos. Once, we sync'd up two stereos and opened the windows wide. The reverb was incredible!
