That was my reaction too. They have to come up with a separate platform for NVidia, and just may be out of resources to pull it all off.

BTW, achieving the 50% server market share just became a lot easier. Also, a unit market share shifts likely, since the lower end of the server spectrum has higher units.

Apparently, the 8 memory channel servers (where Intel is cancelling the 8 channel DMR) are between 70 and 80% of Intel volume.

Huge opening for AMD with Venice,

I am pretty sure that the CPU NVidia wants paired with VNidia GPUs is the 16 channel version. So Intel is under pressure to deliver for NVidia (after getting $5 billion) and may be neglecting its bread and butter business.
